1. Introduction
BurnerInbox (“we”, “our”, “the Service”) is a free disposable temporary email service available at burnerinbox.cc. We built BurnerInbox with one principle at its core: your privacy is not a feature — it’s the foundation. This document explains what little data we interact with, how the service works, and the terms you agree to by using it.
2. What We Collect (Spoiler: Almost Nothing)
BurnerInbox is designed to require zero personal information from you:
- No registration, no name, no phone number, no real email address.
- No passwords stored on our end.
- No payment information — the service is completely free.
The only data temporarily handled is the content of emails delivered to your burner inbox (messages third-party services send you). These are displayed in your browser session. We do not permanently store, read, sell, or analyze the content of these emails.
3. Temporary Inbox & Email Storage
BurnerInbox lets you create custom or randomly generated email addresses and return to them at any future point — this is a core feature of our service. As a result:
- Email messages delivered to a BurnerInbox address may be retained temporarily on our servers to allow future retrieval.
- Emails are accessible only to the person who knows the exact email address — there is no account system or password beyond the address itself.
- You are responsible for keeping your burner address private if you want your inbox contents to remain for your eyes only. Anyone who knows your burner address can view its contents.
- We reserve the right to purge old inboxes and their contents after extended periods of inactivity, without prior notice.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal, functional-only cookies and browser storage to remember your recently used or custom email addresses within your session and ensure the inbox interface works correctly. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or behavioral analytics tools. Any analytics we use are aggregated, anonymized, and contain no personally identifiable information.
5. Log Files & Server Data
Like all web servers, ours may automatically record standard log data including your IP address (anonymized where possible), browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This data is used solely for diagnosing technical issues and preventing abuse. It is not linked to any individual identity and is not shared with third parties.
6. Third-Party Services
BurnerInbox may use limited third-party infrastructure (e.g., hosting, DNS, CDN providers) to operate the service. These providers may process minimal technical data such as IP addresses as part of service delivery. We do not share, sell, or trade any user data with advertisers or data brokers.
7. Children’s Privacy
BurnerInbox does not knowingly collect data from or target children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has used the service in a way that may involve personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of BurnerInbox after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
